I should probably start by explaining that I am obsessed with makeup brushes!

Now when I say obsessed, I mean I literally have 8 brush pots full up and frequently have to declutter in order to make room for new ones! You might ask, why do you need so many brushes? And to be honest, I don’t have a good answer for that, only that I love them!

One of my favourite brush brands, Brushworks, has recently launched their new HD burgess, and kindly sent me the collection to test out for myself.

Ill start by saying WOW!

The new collection is made up of several brushes ranging from face to eye, and all of them are absolutely stunning both in design and quality.

As you can see, the brushes have faded purple hairs, and a metallic galactic kind of theme on the handles. The designs exquisite and I am head over heals in love!

The collection includes a Kabuki, Powder Blush Brush, Angled Contour Brush, Foundation Brush, Tapered Face Brush, Multi Tasking Brush, Concealer and Eye Brush.

The prices range from £5.99 to £12.99, which if you ask me is a blooming bargain!

I think the face brushes are my faves, probably because I get more excited to pay with face products than anything else…

I am obsessed with the powder blush brush, but to keep with the trend, again I don’t actually tend to use it for blush. I find its perfect for doing my bronzer with. Trust me to literally switch the two brushes around lol, but I always say do what works for you. Just because a brush is labelled for one thing doesn’t mean you cant use it for another!

The concealer and eye brushes are also really amazing. The brushes came in perfect timing because I was looking for a new concealer brush. If I’m honest, I prefer a slightly smaller brush to do concealer with, but thats mainly because I like to use it for cut creases a lot. Having said that, the brush is great for spot concealing which I imagine is what its meant for. The eye brush is great for packing on pigment and also for smoking out the lower lash line.

Overall thoughts…

I really like the HD brushes and they are well worth their price tag! (which is actually very reasonable)

The brushes are super soft and great for both beginners and professionals alike.

Im a big fan of brush works, not just for their brushes but they also do other bits like tweezers (which are the best I’ve used) and hair towel wraps. Im excited to dabble more into the brand and discover even more amazingness from them!

As always, its been a pleasure!

Until next time…
