New in Beauty | SS19
These days there are always soooooo many new beauty releases and it can be hard to keep up! This is why I have decided to create a new series on my blog, NEW IN BEAUTY.
Every now and then I will be putting together a post full of my top picks of bits that are recently released, or coming soon and spilling the tea on which bits are worth picking up!
There have been a lot of amazing releases recently so its been hard narrowing it down, but I’ve kept this list as short as I could. The last thing I want is a list that’s overwhelming. That being said, if there are any bits you think are worth checking out that ive missed, feel free to drop a comment down below to share with everyone.

If you follow me on instagram you have probably already seen me mention bareMinerals newest stick foundation already.
I was lucky enough to attend a masterclass with them and get colour matched to my perfect shade. I have been loving using the foundation as concealer on days where I don’t want anything too heavy (which is most of the time) and its been working a treat!
The foundation is a clean, water-based liquid foundation in a stick. It combines hydrating skincare benefits and SPF with a natural and radiant looking medium coverage. It has a dewy finish and is great for all skin types, although if you have oily skin you will want to set it.
Available at Feel Unique for £29
IT Cosmetics has got a wholeeee new range, confidence in…
I have been testing out the new Confidence in a Gel Lotion and I have to say its really nice! Its an oil free gel moisturiser which gives you a really healthy look!
The product breaks into a water-light liquid when you apply it meaning it absorbs easy and fast. You barely feel it on your skin! The product also includes ingredients such as glycerin and cactus flower which help to smooth out the appearance find lines.
There are a bunch of other products in the range too but id definitely give this one a go if you’re looking for a new day time moisturiser!
Available at Boots for £30
ZOEVA are one of those brands who’s products I always underestimate and always end up loving!
They have just come out with the brand new and limited edition Melody Collection, which includes not just a new palette but also five lipglosses!
I haven’t tried the palette yet but the glosses are jam-packed with shimmer and shine! I have three of the five available shades, ‘Fly Away’, ‘Spread Your Wings’ and ‘Radiant Flight’.
These look amazing on their own or over the top of a lipstick or pencil. They give a beautiful glossy shine and they don’t feel super sticky either! If you’re a gloss girl then these are worth looking into.
This is the first palette I have tried from OPV and I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I absolutely love it!
The new Spotlight palette includes eighteen colours which are full of pigment and blend like a dream. The palette is made up of a mixture of mattes and shimmers with a few metallic and some duochromes too.
Considering the palette has eighteen different shades in, for only £24.50 its actually a bargain too. Each shadow works out at about £1.36 each!
This palette has a good colour range, so you can do colourful fun looks or sick to something a little more ‘wearable’ if you’d prefer. This is a new favourite in my ever growing collection.
Available at Beauty Bay for £24.50
Just when a girl though she had enough nudes in her lipstick collection Too Faced went and brought out the new peach puffs!
These have a super creamy texture to them but they dry down matte. They give more of a diffused look to the lips leaving them looking naturally full of colour.
The unique ‘Peach Puff’ applicator is similar to the Loreal age rewind concealer, but on a lipstick it works! It means you don’t over apply the product and you get just the right amount.
If you love a nude lip then make sure to grab one of these babies!
Available at Debenhams for £17
PRIORI sent me over some bits from their triple turmeric complex range and I have been loving them!
The TTC range has an exclusive and highly concentrated natural blend of 3 kinds of colourless turmeric root, as well as green tea, grape seed and liquorice giving it the benefits of antioxidant, brightening and anti-inflammatory. The products are also all natural and are free of sulfates, SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan and triclocarban.
Of course, I’m just one girl so I haven’t gotten around to testing everything yet but I have been especially impressed with the skin restore cream and the naturally enriched cleanser.
We all know by now I’m a big lover of skin care, and these bits from PRIORI are definitely worth checking out if you are too.
They have tons of other bits to look through as well including some mini kits to let you try the brand without committing to the full size.
Available at PRIORI from £30
Flomar isn’t new, but it is new to the UK and recently launched in Primark!
The affordable makeup line has tons of different products to offer including eye shadow palettes, lipsticks, mascaras and so much more. I have been especially loving the setting spray, its very similar to the Morphe prep and set but much easier to get your hands on!
The highlight powders are also pretty stunning! Unfortunately the one I received is a little dark for my skin tone so I haven’t been able to rock it, but from trying it out on the skin I can definitely give it my overall stamp of approval.
For those of you on a budget wanting to try something new, Flormar might just be the way to go.
Available at Primark
Turmeric seems to be a theme for new releases at the moment and Ayumi have their new Turmeric range too.
I absolutely loved their sandalwood range and regularly use the products. I actually did a whole blog post on the sandalwood range, worth a read if you’re interested in trying any of their products!
The Turmeric range includes the same great products, but this formula is aimed at combination and blemished skin. Since being off Roaccutane my skin is still changing and I am experiencing small breakouts again, so this is perfect!
Available in store at Tesco and Morisons or online at Ayumi for £6.99
THE BODY SHOP
The Body Shop are one of my all time favourite brands in general, so of course I had to mention a few new in bits they have!
Most noteworthy is their new ginger range. They have scrubs, shower gels and even a body yoghurt (and I LOVE their body yoghurts!). The smell isn’t too strong, its refreshing and the products leave your skin feeling amazing as per usual!
Also new in is a few new sheet masks, always great to have some on hand. But one of the bits I was most excited to see and play with are their eye shadow palettes. The colours blend beautifully and are perfect for the average girl doing her every day makeup.
The shimmers are beautiful and the mattes are very easy to blend out. All of the shadows perform really well, not over pigmented but just the right amount. If you’re in need of a new every day palette, these are definitely some to consider!
Available at The Body Shop
Essence have a bunch of new bits out right now. They have palettes, nail polished, lippies and more!
One of the bits I love most from their new in section is their gym makeup. This is that time of year when everyone is desperately trying to get into shape, and while some people can brave the gym with a bare face, there are others (myself included) who need just a little bit of something to give us that confidence to walk out the door.
The setting spray and lip balms are my favourites from this range, and the mascara is pretty decent too!
One of the best things about essence though is the low prices. Their stuff is super affordable but doesn’t lack on quality. Of course, I’m not going lie and tell you you’re going to get Pat Magrath level makeup for these low prices, but its certainly not a brand to dismiss!
Available at Wilko from £1.60
Another amazing brand with some cute AF new products!
Im especially a fan of the mascara from this brand, its super black and makes your lashes really long while adding a bit of volume at the same time!
The blush and highlight powders are stunning! Some are a little dark for my skin tone, but still amazing none the less.
The brand is a recent discovery for me but its definitely one I’m going to be looking into more and based off of these bits i’ve tried, its one id recommend!
Available at Beauty Bay from £5.25
Eylure recently brought out their new pre-glued lashes. I love the concept of these and I also really enjoy the styles available.
I will say, I found them tricky to put on myself but I think thats because 1) I have lash extensions and 2) I am not used to them. Im sure with a little practice it would be easy enough. Although I haven’t found them super easy to apply myself, I do know a few other people who have tried them and they found it really easy. Must just be me…
These are a great idea to take with you traveling, or if you want to take an extra pair with you in case of emergency on a night out.
Fenty is already one of my favourite brands, especially when it comes to skin!
Their new summer collection is different from what they’ve launched before though and is full of bright summer colours. From blue lipsticks to green eyeliners, this range has it all!
Now, i’m not sure id rock the blue lippy on the daily but its perfect for festival season which is now upon us.
The liners are super opaque in colour and glide on like a dream. I have been loving creating colourful looks for my instagram and these are just what I’ve been looking for. Although, I must warn you… they do stain so bear that in mind.
My favourite bits from the summer launch is the lip scrub and balm theyve brought out. The scrub is very conveniently packaged and goes in without the mess like those in a jar.
But the lip balm… Oh. My. GOD!
Its the most delicious smelling, and nourishing balm I’ve ever used! Plus, i love that it applies with a wand! If you get one thing, get the balm!
Side note, Fenty is now available in Boots too! YAY!
These primers from beauty blender aren’t super new, but they are a fairly recent launch so I still wanted to include them in my post. One of the main reasons being the variation for different skin types and skin concerns available.
Something I haven’t come across before is their dry oil primer. For people with super dry skin (especially those on roaccutane) would love this! Its super hydrating and smoothes the skin but doesn’t feel greasy so a great base for product.
My personal favourite is The Leveler, which is a matte pore blurring primer. This is great for in the T-zone and works well paired up with the Opal Essence primer on the other areas of your face.
Personally I think the primers are pretty well priced too. Ive used far worse products which cost far more. These aren’t drug store, but in this case you get what you pay for!
Available at Cult Beauty for £28.50
This brand is packaging goals!
Louboutin have launched their new bright AF collection which includes a selection of lippies and nail polishes.
Now… I’ve never tried their lipstick but I have a few of their nail polishes and I love them!
Not only is the packaging freaking amazing, but the colours are beautiful and they don’t chip easily either.
Of course being Louboutin they are on the pricey side, but these are products that are worth investing in and putting on display in-between uses.
So last but most certainly not least, possibly my favourite new release…
This is the new signature select serum from ARTISTRY. The thing I love most about this product is the ability to create a truly custom blend just perfect for your skin and what you want.
With the new serum from ARTISTRY you get the power of up to three serums in one powerful product. You can create a custom solution to address multiple and/or specific skincare concerns and reveal your best skin ever!
How It Works
The serum begins with a universal Base, which contains a blend of five Nutrilite sourced ingredients: Acerola Cherry, Black Currant, Green Tea, Pomegranate and Spinach Extracts.
The base is formulated to penetrate the skin’s surface quickly and help repair the skin’s appearance.
You can select up to three concentrated amplifiers; Hydration, Brightening, Anti-Wrinkle, Firming or Anti-Spot. All of which are clinically proven to improve the visible signs of aging.
The amplifiers can be mixed into the Base Serum by twisting the cap to infuse and activate the ingredients for your own personalised serum.
My custom blend is made up of Brightening, Anti-Wrinkle and the Anti-Spot amplifiers. The way the product infuses when you twist the cap is super cool and you literally see the formula change before your eyes!
The product is lightly scented but not with what id describe as a ‘fragrance’ as such, more of like a spa kind of smell. It basically smells like super luxe skin care, which it is…
So far I’ve been loving using my serum and its something i will definitely be looking to re-purchase once I’ve run out.
Available at Amway from £67.55
Batiste is (in my opinion) the best dry shampoo brand there is and they have their newest fragrance recently released, Wildflower!
This fragrance is a mix of Watermelon Sorbet, Apple Blossom and Sandalwood. May I just say… it smells amazinggggg!
I don’t think I’ve come across a scent from batiste that I don’t like yet to be honest, but this newest one is definitely in the top 3!
Of course, as always batiste is priced really well meaning you don’t have to break the bank to have fresh looking and smelling hair in between washes!
Available at Morisons for £3
And that’s everything!
As always, thanks for stopping by.
Until next time…
