For the last 5 years, I’ve had lash extensions constantly. At least until recently anyway…

After years of abusing my lashes I thought id give them a rest and try to get my natural lash glory back. But when I actually had them removed and saw how short and stumpy my natural lashes were I desperately wanted to get my extensions back!

Instead of giving in, I decided to test out all my mascara combinations and reach out to try some new mascaras too. Now although I discovered a few different mascara’s which I’ve grown to love (all for different reasons) my absolute favourite combo is from Artistry Studio.

Combining both the lash primer from the Bangkok collection and the 3 in 1 mascara from the New York launch, this magic combo works wonders on my natural stumpy lashes!

I will say though, the mascara (which is award winning by the way…) does a really good job on its own as well, the primer just gives it that extra oomph.

The ‘Lash Boosting’ 3-in-1 Mascara volumizes, separates and lifts lashes instantly. You can see the difference in my before and after photos above. Its honestly hard to believe these are the same lashes.

Oh and side note… I haven’t even curled my lashes, so that lift is all down to the mascara!

The mascara contains Calendula Flower Extract, Vitamin E and Vitamin C to help condition lashes.  Carnuba Wax helps lift, curl and boost volume. And the best bit… the lashes stay like this all day.

The mascara features an easy-to-twist  3-in-1 adjustable wand that lengthens, curls, lifts and separates lashes. So no matter what your lash issues are, you can customise the wand to suite your needs.

Personally I like to keep it on the longer setting which really helps to separate and lengthen the lashes and then ill sometimes go in with a second coat using the shortened brush to add a bit more volume.

One of the things I really love about it is that you can add more than one layer without it clumping up or flaking off. And… it doesn’t smudge on the lower lashes either.

Overall thoughts…

With everything being said, its no wonder the NYC Mascara won the Pure Beauty Award 2019 for best new eye product, which says a lot considering it was up against brands like Charlotte Tilbury and Wunder2!

The mascara retails for only £28.10, which when compared to other mascaras of a similar price bracket is a bargain considering the results.

Whenever someone asks me for a mascara recommendation, this is always one of the ones I suggest. So if you haven’t already, my advice is to give it a try.

I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Until next time…

xoxo
